Web development & software consulting · South Florida

Practical websites and web tools built for your business.

I help small businesses improve their websites, streamline manual work, and build reliable digital solutions.

Not sure how to describe what you need? Programmers explain the problem to a rubber duck out loud, because saying it plainly is where the answer starts. Type the thing that's broken. I'll reflect it back before anything gets sent.

Plain words. Nothing sends until you say so. View selected work →

That's usually this kind of job

The question I'd ask next

Sorted by a small script on this page. I read every one myself and reply within a business day.

What I'm hired for

Three kinds of problem.

Most of what comes through the contact form is one of these. If yours isn't, say so anyway.

A

Websites

New builds, rebuilds of sites that grew unmanageable, landing pages, speed and mobile fixes, and the technical repairs nobody else wanted to touch. You get something you can edit yourself.

B

Custom web tools

Dashboards, intake forms, client portals, and workflow tools built for one specific job. Usually this replaces a spreadsheet that four people are afraid to open at the same time.

C

Development support

Ongoing fixes, new features, and API integrations on software that already exists, including software whose original developer is long gone. The AI ones count too: pulling data out of documents, summarizing intake before a call, drafting routine replies, and routing what comes in.

Selected work

A site the client could finally run herself.

Nurturing Minds Counseling

The old WordPress build had gotten tangled enough that Diana couldn't change basic copy or swap a photo without calling for help.

I rebuilt it on a cleaner structure and a WordPress setup organized around the edits she actually makes. Pages, images, and text are now hers to change, with no developer in the loop.

From clients

In their words.

Nelson completely revamped my counseling site, communicated the whole way through, and made sure I could manage it myself instead of depending on a developer. His WordPress expertise showed, and he explained every step.

How it goes

Four steps, in order, every time.

You always know which one we're in.

Step one

Understand the problem

We talk about the business, the goal, and what's actually going wrong, before anyone mentions a technology. This is the duck part, out loud, with me.

Step two

Define the scope

Requirements, deliverables, cost, and timeline written down in plain language. No surprise line items later.

Step three

Build and review

Work happens in stages you can see. Regular progress updates, and your feedback goes in while it's still cheap to change.

Step four

Launch and support

Tested, launched, and handed over with whatever ongoing support you actually need, which is sometimes none.

Who the duck reports to

I'm Nelson.

I build websites, web tools, and software fixes for small businesses and growing teams that need real development work without agency overhead.

My background covers front-end and back-end development, databases, APIs, internal business applications, and the unglamorous work of figuring out why something broke. You work with me directly, which means the same person on the call, in the code, and answering your email six months later.
